Phomollient Styling Foam from Aveda AND Large Hot Curl Brush from Boots |
My hair is extremely fussy! It's quite thin and tends more towards oily than dry, so most products tend to weigh my hair down or just make it greasy, sticky or flat. I was a bit skeptical about the Phomollient foam at first, but the first time I used it I was seriously impressed! My hair seemed twice as thick as normal, without feeling like it was coated in something to increase the volume, and it stayed that was all day. Although the product is expensive, I would recommend it if you have easily weighed down hair!
The brush is not expensive, from Boots Essential range, but it's incredibly efficient at make both volume and curls. I have had issues with this kind of curling brush before, my hair seems to tangle around the brush and form a mass of knots in mere seconds. The space between the bristles on this particular brush seem to be placed in a way that holds my hair so that I can blow-dry curls into it, but doesn't turn it into a birds-nest. The size is wonderful too, it forms really elegant large curls, and when used at the hair-roots it creates a lot of volume. Definitely recommend this brush too.
